“Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for it…” What did the Apostle Paul mean by “the Church” when he penned these words to Christians at Ephesus? A special type of building? The religious segment of society? A denominational organization?
According to the Word of God, the Church is a building, but not constructed by human hands. It is a segment of society, but includes only those redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. It is a living organism indwelt and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
