Explore the life of America's first foreign missionary Adoniram Judson (1780-1850) who was devoted to serving for over 38 years in Burma, no matter the cost. Born to a congregational minister and his wife, Adoniram was an outstandingly clever man who had dreams of being a lawyer or even a playwright. Whilst at college, Adoniram was to have a crisis of faith and this would see him travelling far from his family to see the world. He was later to return home to Boston to teach and then on to Seminary. God was to call him away from the safety of home to a dangerous life in Burma, from a possible life of prestige to a life of missionary service.
